Symone A. Cole

Symone A. Cole is a graduating senior studying Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Public Relations. She is originally from Detroit, Michigan and she plans on going to film school after undergrad. Her goal is to make breathtaking movies that gives hope and encouragement to her viewers.

“I love working at the station because I gained a new family, experience and a chance to change someones life through music. There is no greater honor.”

Her favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 13:5

Faithful Byrd

Faithful Byrd is a senior studying TV Broadcast with a minor in Spanish. She is originally from College Park, Maryland and plans to attend Grad school and become a news anchor after undergrad.

“I like working at WJOU because as a TV Broadcast major this job is training me and giving me experience as to how the Broadcast industry is . Also I think it’s very cool and humbling to say that during my undergrad I was one of the radio personalities at WJOU .”

Her favorite Bible verse is, Psalms 46:1, God is our refuge and strength a very pleasant help in trouble.

Cleavon Davis

Cleavon Davis is a sophomore studying Business Management with a minor in Recording Arts. He is originally from College Park, Maryland. After graduation he plans to continue his higher education and attain a masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Full Sail University.

“I love working at WJOU because I have the privilege of positively impacting so many people with my voice on the air; it’s a ministry to me.”

His favorite bible verse is Joshua 1:9. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with wherever you go.

Bria Sanford

Bria Sanford is a graduating senior who majors in Communication Arts. After undergrad she plans to attend grad school and study Organizational Management.

“I love working for the station, because it allows me to use my personality to minister to others. Not only do I get to minister to others but also myself.”

Her favorite bible verse is Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”.

Jordan Lobbins

Jordan Lobbins is a recent graduate of Oakwood University from Chicago, Illinois with a bachelors degree in  Communications. His plans after graduation are to work for a television news station and to work for National Public Radio.
” What I enjoyed most about WJOU was connecting and praying for the listeners of the Tennessee Valley area. ”
