Jamel Strong is an ordained minister, singer and songwriter from Huntsville, AL. He sang his first solo at the age of six and has been singing ever since. As a teenager, he had the opportunity to work with the legendary Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and has written or recorded professionally on numerous Billboard charting albums for noted artists such as Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potter House Mass Choir, Bishop Leonard Scott, Bishop Jason Nelson, Tasha Page Lockhart, Benita Jones, Brianna “Bri” Babineaux and more. “My Hands Are Lifted Up’, the latest single from his forthcoming project, has been sung and recorded by people all over the world. His fresh take on this worship anthem features his aggregation of singers Message and is an intimate timely song of prayer. Jamel Strong’s baritone voice is powerful yet smooth and reminiscent of music legends John P. Kee, and Gerald Levert. With production by Ronald Rawls and Courtney Franklin, Strong’s composing and songwriting skills deliver music that is captivating, anointed and biblically sound.
